Privacy Policy – One-Click UI Test Generator

This privacy policy describes how the One-Click UI Test Generator Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles information when you use it.

1. What data we process

When you click "Scan & Generate Tests" on a webpage, the Extension collects only structural information about that page:

• The page's URL and title
• Information about forms and inputs (e.g. field types, labels, placeholders, and selector hints such as id or name)
• Information about links and buttons (e.g. visible text and selector hints)

We do not collect:

• Values you type into forms (including usernames, passwords, or any other input)
• Cookies, login state, or browsing history
• Personal data that identifies you

2. How we use this data

The data described above is sent to our backend service only when you trigger a scan. We use it solely to generate test case ideas and a Playwright automation skeleton for the page you are viewing. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Where data is sent

Data is sent only to our own API (e.g. https://one-click-virid.vercel.app). We do not share it with other companies or services. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may process requests in accordance with its own privacy and data processing terms.

4. Data retention

Our current backend does not store or log the page metadata you send. Each request is processed to return test cases and then discarded. If we introduce logging or storage in the future, we will update this policy and describe retention periods.

5. Your choices

You control when data is sent: data is only collected when you click "Scan & Generate Tests" in the Extension. If you do not use that feature, no page data is sent to our servers. You can uninstall the Extension at any time from Chrome.

6. Changes

We may update this privacy policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the Extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
